Our Mission

NorthStar Ice Sports is a non profit organization that is dedicated to the promotion of the sports of hockey and figure skating. Some of the Objectives and Purposes of NorthStar Ice Sports are:

• To promote the sports of hockey, figure skating, and other related sports.
  
• To encourage friendly relations with other communities which are interested in similar sports.
  
• To ensure the sound management of the buildings and properties owned by the Northboro Youth Hockey Program, Inc.

NorthStar Ice Sports has 3 full size ice sheets, 2 off-ice rooms, conference rooms, and a snack bar with a warm viewing area. There is plenty of onsite parking.

NorthStar Ice Sports is conveniently located to many dining and shopping options along Route 9, Westborough.

Company Profile

Northboro Youth Hockey Program was incorporated in 1970 as a non profit charitable organization. In September of 1976 the Northboro Youth Hockey program purchased the Westboro Ice Arena and changed the name to NorthStar Youth Forum. Today, the three-rink complex is known as Northstar Ice Sports and provides the community with hockey and figure skating programs.

The NorthStar Ice Sports is a member of the Northeast Ice Skating Managers Association (NEISMA), the Ice Skating Institute (ISI) and the United States Figure Skating Association (USFSA).

General Manager

Craig Boutilier - Born in Northboro MA, Craig has been involved as a player, coach, and employee for twenty eight years. Better known as "Bout", Craig is a graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI '81). Shortly after his graduation he became head coach at Algonquin Regional High School, a position he held for eight seasons. Craig then moved on to Framingham State College as an assistant coach. Craig runs several hockey camps throughout the year with particular emphasis on all necessary skills to play and enjoy the game. He also coaches local high school players during their off season.
